MAG-39’s Mad Dawgs edge SOI in late-season showdown with playoff seeding on the line
In a game with major All-Base Playoff implications, Marine Aircraft Group 39’s Larry Mix made his presence felt. The standout defensive back made one play after another Oct. 27, leading the Mad Dawgs to a critical 20-12 victory over the School of Infantry at the 11 Area field.
With seeding in the Pendleton Cup Football League’s upcoming postseason on the line, Mix recovered a fumble, intercepted two passes and returned one of those picks 103 yards for a critical first quarter touchdown.
